I am a huge proponent of shopping local! I would much prefer to give my business to smaller, local shops. Moms and Dads trying to make a better life for themselves and their family; I am here for it! My mom is a small business owner and I grew up watching her do the daily grind. It was really humbling to watch her pour herself into her work. Fast forward and my husband is a small business owner and is doing that same grind. Now, I am guilty like the rest of the world for supporting the big box stores. I tend to turn to the bigger companies not because they have better products but they are usually more convenient. However, these next few shops break the mold on convenience. They provide stellar customer service, amazing turn around times and a beautiful product. I have personally purchased from and supported these shops. I also am not affiliated with them in anyway; I just believe in them and their product THAT much.
Sew Kitschy: Tie Die Sweatshirt
I am an avid Etsy shopper, I really love all the unique, personalized items you can find on the site. However, not all small shops are created equal. Sew Kitschy really stood out based on her customer testimonials. I really like to read the reviews before I buy something and Sew Kitschy fit the bill! I had custom sweatshirts made for Kennie and I. I always wanted to have a little girl to twin with! Again, the service was amazing and the product is well made and one of a kind. I will be back since Makenna is almost out of her sweatshirt already. You can view her etsy shop at sewkitchyshop.etsy.com or her instagram at @sewkitschy.
Hart2Hart Gifts: Tie Die Denim Jacket
This adorable little shop was recommended to me from by a friend. Once I saw what Nicole had to offer, I was hooked. Every little girl in my life quickly received one of her amazing customized jackets. She does custom patch work on denim jacket and has boy and girl options. They do all size runs including adults. The combinations and possibilities are endless. Nicole has also expanded her business to personalize other gift items. I had a jacket made for my daughter Kennie with a custom patch that they helped me design. The best way to check out her work is on her instagram @hart2hartgifts.
Customized Littles: Black and Gold Sweatshirt
I discovered Customized Littles after Hart2Hart Gifts advertised her stuff. Once again, I am a sucker for all things personalized. She does a really different, edgy look to her customized outfits using spray paint. She also has a variety of gift items including super fun sunglasses for the little lady in your life. She was very prompt in responding and did exactly what I had designed in my head. I had 3 sweatshirts made for my 3 babes. My husband coaches high school soccer and I wanted the kids to have fun sweatshirts for when they cheer daddy on! I love their stuff and will be back for more!
Lastly, The purple sweatshirt below is from Zara, certainly not a small business. I wanted to include this for comparison. While its an adorable set, you can see that this personalization is done with a machine and is significantly smaller print when compared to the other shops. Don’t get me wrong, I love Zara, but I believe you will get more for your money when you shop small!
Thanks Babes!
